← GO BACK   Hooray for another meticulously designed lake house! This project was one marvelous adventure to work on! Detail plans and 3D modeling of every floor were supplied to showcase the overall vision to the clients to make sure that every detail made their dream home come alive before their eyes (before it was even built). Although it was not a new build, this house was a complete remodel both interior and exterior of an existing structure. From custom cabinetry and built-ins to secret rooms behind hidden doors, no detail was left unconsidered. Every detail and high-end finish material was selected with care and consideration with many items being fully custom made for this home. In any home, the most important and detailed room is the kitchen. That is why here at DCL we draw from skills not only from formal education in design but also from a history of professional Chef experience! We sure do know our kitchens! Some favorite details include the natural quartzite kitchen/butlers pantry countertops, the built-ins complete with hidden door to a secret getaway room, the tv mechanism above the fireplace and the fully custom designed/ built closets! The furniture was either custom made or beautiful vintage pieces were purchased to outfit this house. There is eye candy around every corner with the work of many local craftsmen on show.
